2000 CALIFORNIA STATE FAIR WINE COMPETITION.

NEWS RELEASE April 21, 2000
COULSON WINERY EARNS 3 MEDALS IN 
2000 PACIFIC RIM INTERNATIONAL WINE COMPETITION.

SAN BERNARDINO, CA - Coulson Winery was awarded three medals in the prestigious Pacific Rim International Wine Competition conducted here April 13 - 14, 2000.

Dr. James Crum, competition director states:  "Because we set such high standards, a wine receiving any kind of medal, whether bronze, silver, or gold, can be considered highly recommended."

The 2000 Pacific Rim event attracted 2190 entries from across the United States and numerous other countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Canada.  Thirty judges - including winemakers, enology instructors, wine retailers and other experts - evaluated the entries in 113 categories, under the direction of noted wine journalist Gerald Boyd.
